The Smartest Parrot

The Smartest Parrot

Once upon time, a man had a wonderful parrot. There was no other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot would not say the name of the place where it was born. The name of the place was Catano.

5 Contoh Singkat Narrative Text
The man felt excited having the smartest parrot but he could not understand why the parrot would not say Catano. The man tried to teach the bird to say Catano however the bird kept not saying the word.

At the first, the man was very nice to the bird but then he got very angry. “You stupid bird!” pointed the man to the parrot. “Why can’t you say the word? Say Catano! Or I will kill you” the man said angrily. Although he tried hard to teach, the parrot would not say it. Then the man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over; “Say Catano or I’ll kill you”. The bird kept not to say the word of Catano.

One day after he had been trying so many times to make the bird say Catano, the man really got very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken house. There were four old chickens for next dinner “You are as stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them” Said the man angrily. Then he continued to humble; “You know, I will cut the chicken for my meal. Next it will be your turn, I will eat you too, stupid parrot”. After that he left the chicken house.

The next day, the man came back to the chicken house. He opened the door and was very surprised. He could not believe what he saw at the chicken house. There were three death chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming at the last old chicken; “Say Catano or I’ll kill you”.

Amazing Structure

MACCU PICCHU

The ruins of Machu Picchu, rediscovered in 1911 by Yale archaeologist Hiram Bingham, are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. While the Inca people certainly used the Andean mountain top (7972 feet elevation), erecting many hundreds of stone structures from the early 1400's, legends and myths indicate that Machu Picchu (meaning 'Old Peak' in the Quechua language) was revered as a sacred place from a far earlier time. Whatever its origins, the Inca turned the site into a small (5 square miles) but extraordinary city. Invisible from below and completely self-contained, surrounded by agricultural terraces sufficient to feed the population, and watered by natural springs, Machu Picchu seems to have been utilized by the Inca as a secret ceremonial city. Two thousand feet above the rumbling Urubamba river, the cloud shrouded ruins have palaces, baths, temples, storage rooms and some 150 houses, all in a remarkable state of preservation. These structures, carved from the gray granite of the mountain top are wonders of both architectural and aesthetic genius. Many of the building blocks weigh 50 tons or more yet are so precisely sculpted and fitted together with such exactitude that the mortarless joints will not permit the insertion of even a thin knife blade. Little is known of the social or religious use of the site during Inca times. The skeletal remains of ten females to one male had led to the casual assumption that the site may have been a sanctuary for the training of priestesses and /or brides for the Inca nobility. However, subsequent osteological examination of the bones revealed an equal number of male bones, thereby indicating that Machu Picchu was not exclusively a temple or dwelling place of women.
One of Machu Picchu's primary functions was that of astronomical observatory. The Intihuatana stone (meaning 'Hitching Post of the Sun') has been shown to be a precise indicator of the date of the two equinoxes and other significant celestial periods. The Intihuatana (also called the Saywa or Sukhanka stone) is designed to hitch the sun at the two equinoxes, not at the solstice (as is stated in some tourist literature and new-age books). At midday on March 21st and September 21st, the sun stands almost directly above the pillar, creating no shadow at all. At this precise moment the sun "sits with all his might upon the pillar" and is for a moment "tied" to the rock. At these periods, the Incas held ceremonies at the stone in which they "tied the sun" to halt its northward movement in the sky. There is also an Intihuatana alignment with the December solstice (the summer solstice of the southern hemisphere), when at sunset the sun sinks behind Pumasillo (the Puma's claw), the most sacred mountain of the western Vilcabamba range, but the shrine itself is primarily equinoctial.

Shamanic legends tell that when a sensitive person touches their forehead to the Intihuatana stone it opens their vision to the spirit world. Intihuatana stones were the supremely sacred objects of the Inca people and were systematically searched for and destroyed by the Spaniards. When the Intihuatana stone was broken at an Inca shrine, the Inca believed that the deities of the place died or departed. The Spaniards never found Machu Picchu, even though they suspected its existence, thus the Intihuatana stone and its resident spirits remain in their original position. The mountain top sanctuary fell into disuse and was abandoned some forty years after the Spanish took Cuzco in 1533. Supply lines linking the many Inca social centers were disrupted and the great empire came to an end. The photograph shows the ruins of Machu Picchu in the foreground with the sacred peak of Wayna Picchu towering behind. Partway down the northern side of Wayna Picchu is the so-called "Temple of the Moon" inside a cavern. As with the ruins of Machu Picchu, there is no archaeological or iconographical evidence to substantiate the "new-age" assumption that this cave was a goddess site.
Although Hiram Bingham was the first person to bring word of the ruins to the outside world in 1911, other outsiders were said to have seen Machu Picchu before him. The site may have been discovered in 1867 by a German businessman, Augusto Berns, and there is some evidence that another German, J. M. von Hassel, arrived even earlier. Maps found by historians show references to Machu Picchu as early as 1874. In 1904, an engineer named Franklin supposedly spotted the ruins from a distant mountain.

Matswapati

Matswapati

Today i will tell you about my school event. This event called Matswapati. You must be wondering what is Matswapati. Matswapati is a culture festival, especially Sundanese culture. Matswapati taken from wayang’s name. Acctually his name is Prabu Matswapati.

In this event, theres lots of sundanese culture such as, kuda lumping, gamelan, wayang golek, angklung, and many more. And also, Indonesian singer, Glend Fredly. This event is awesome!!!! Okay now i’ll tell you about this event from start till end.

First of all (i mean 3 days before matswapati), The committee tell to us that, there will be a parade before matswapati event start, and we have to become the unique class in the parade so we could get Rp 1.000.000 (=D). And they also remind us about the class stand (so each or 2 class must have a stand in this event. And My class joining with XI ipa 3). After heard this announcement, we are so happy. And we are discuss about what are we gonna wear for this parade. After a long discussion, we are agree with this :

  1.    For clothes, we are wearing black t-shirt and for the bottom we use jeans. And we tie batik clothes with long-armed around the stomach (just like tie your jacket).
  2.  For hats, we made it by ourself. Hmmm... it hard to explain but i will explain to you. So this hat made from black carton and then we cut it as our head size and in front of this hat we write “MATSWAPATI” with gold and silver marker. And we add some feather from kemoceng in the top of hat.
  3. We painted our face with face painting. The color is, first layer is green then yellow then blue.
  4. Also, we had a song for this parade. And we inspired by rindam (rindam is Latihan kepemimpinan siswa. We through rindam 3 days in the military area and it so... something and unforgettable too)

Second (its showtime!!!!), the parade had start. We are so intimidate, because our class is the most simple class unlike the other class. But, we are not gave up. After we past Taman Musik Centrum we start to sing our song. And the jury and the other people like my class parade. After the parade, we are saw kuda lumping. I think, its creepy but cool. And some traditional dances. After that we are entered the lapang bali. Maybe at 10.00 o’clock they announce the winner. The winner is.... my class. We are so happy, because we are got Rp 1.000.000, is it a dream? Of course not, this is real.
Actually theres a lot of traditional dance like jaipong, merak, and etc. But since its too hot i just went out and went to my friend’s dormitory and took some rest at there. At 3 o’clock i went back to lapangan bali. And watch wayang golek.

Wayang golek is sundanese culture. It is a puppet made from wood. There are a lots of character in wayang golek. For example are  Semar, Cepot atau Astrajingga, Dawala, Gareng, Cungkring, Gareng, Curis Sekarpandan, Bagong, Bagal Buntung, Dawala, Ceblok, etc. But at this event, The wayang golek characters which is appear on the story is Cepot, Dawala, Gareng, Semar, and the other unknown character. So the point of story that they tell is you should obey your parents and you have to go along with your brother and sister. But they tell this message with jokes. When i watch wayang golek, i laugh till my stomach hurts.

After wayang golek, I eat at the foodcourt. Actually, i only drink a green tea because im not so hungry but very thirsty. Then at 6 o’clock i pray at sumbawa mosque. After that i went back again to lapang bali. And we watch Glen fredly. It was so amazing. I really enjoy it. When glen fredly singing, i and my classmate dance, clap, and jump. I guess Glen fredly sang 6 song more or less (Im sorry I forgot). Then at 8 o’clock i went home.

It was an awesome event and I will come again to culture festival next year. And this is so unforgettable moment. And i hope next year is cooler than this year. Thats all byeeeeee :3.

Unforgettable Moment

My Unforgettable Moment

Hiiii !!!! Now i will tell you about my unforgettable moment. Well, i have a hundred of weird experience. But, I will tell you about my unforgettable moment right? So i wont tell you about my weird experience.

My unforgettable moment is when i was at second year at 2 junior high school. This class is the unforgettable and craziest class until now (in my opinion =D ). Why i said that? if you wandering why, just read this ;) (I hope you are not bored to read this). Oh yes, this is the story that change me into a better person too.

This story begin when we (my 7 grade classmate) are separated because we are move to the higher grade ( 8 grade). Unfortunately, i didn't go to the same class with my best friends. And i stuck in class which i don't know anyone. At that time, i felt unlucky. But i don't care about it anymore.Because the show must go on (^∆^).

I got the corner and rearmost classroom. Hmmm... actually my new classroom is unused room. But, because theres no room left in my school, so that room converted into a classroom (the cool thing is this room is my clasroom). Lots of people said, my new classroom is a spooky room ( i agree with that because my classroom always cold even in a hot day). And lots of people said the most sinister ghost in my classroom is an old lady with a creepy face (i ever see her and i don't want to discuss it).

After a month in this class, I had 4 best friends they are Salsa, Gita, Eva, and Dhira. They are a good person and we always did crazy things in the classroom. Just for information, there are 5 groups in my class. The groups are the popular, the k-popers, the smart one, the crazy one and the last is the boys. I'm include to the crazy one. Although there is groups in my thems, but we are one =D.

Before i met all of them, i was a pessimist person, careless, selfish, just care about mark and a quite person. But they all change me (thanks guys, i love you guys so much). In this class, i learn that friendship is the most important above all. And you should to caring each other.

Above that all good things, we still have a bad things. Almost all of my teachers hate my class. Why? Because we are rarely to do homework and always playing around. And the most severe is we usually "mabal" at the boring lesson ( Our "mabal" place are mosque, library, canteen (because our class is near to this place)). Not just one or two person but almost the whole class (only 3 people left in my class). One day, my religious teacher enter to my class and just 4 people in my class (including me). After she saw that she said "I DON'T WANT TO TEACH THIS CLASS ANYMORE, YOU GUYS DISRESPECT ME. AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU GUYS MARK". After she said that she is get out from my class. Then, i and the other 3 searching the other classmate and call them to enter the class. After whole class enter, we are told about what happen before. And we're all confuse. But the weird thing is we didnt care about it. and start playing again (the boys play freebies (flying plate) in the class and the other play their laptop and phone).

Sometimes we play not funny game for teacher. This game is pretend to be boring, weird or a grumpy teacher in front of class. We could do this because teacher rarely across my class since its at the corner and far far away from the teachers room. The other funny things is when the history lesson, our classroom always stinky (until now we dont know the reason). But strangely my class only and always stinky at the history lesson. So we are evacuate to the library (beside my classroom).

When the second semester there are conflicts in my group (Salsa, gita, dhira, eva, and me). It all start because TIK task. the task is we have to mention all the icon in microsft excel and it function. Unfortunately, we are the only group who didnt do the task. We all confuse because if we didnt sumbit it now, "BK" teacher will call us. And we are panic, but we are accept the consequence because this is our fault. But one of  person in my group move to the group that had finish the task and left us just like that. After that day we are hate "this people" (i dont have to mention her, right?). And i felt pity to her but she is didnt say sorry to us. Thats why we didnt want to talk to her anymore and hate her. After we didnt close with her, the girls in my class told us that all girls in the class didnt like her. Well i shocked when i heard that. But now i already forgive her.

That all my unforgettable moment thank you for reading it until end. And i hope my grammar is better than before. byeeee, seee yaaa =D.
